I'm unfamiliar with the whole ohm load that subs have like 4 ohms, 6 ohms, 8 ohms. how do you configure what the ohms are when you wire two subs (single voice coil) in parallel on the amp in a bridged set up?
Any explanations are greatly appreciated.
thanks

Here is the equation for adding resistances in prallel:
R1, R2=impedance of sub
1/R = total impedance
1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2
so if you had two 4 ohm subs:
1/4 + 1/4 = 2/4
then take the inverse of 2/4 which is 4/2 = 2
So two 4 ohm subs in parallel will present a 2 ohm load to your amp.
For imedances in series just add them up. So wiring two 4 ohm subs in series will present an 8 ohm load to your amp.
