..waiting behind a car whose going to leave. I was waiting for the guy to move in front of me so I can get his parking meter spot then some fool gave me a ticket for waiting under "No standing area" It's a one way st. so I can't wait beside him. In my head I was like WTF, so I told him I was waiting for the guy infront of me to leave he replied by saying "you can't park here". Also told him that he can just ask me to move like others do and he was like "it doesnt matter you cant park here". No need to argue with *****es like him, I just told him end of discussion get out of here then I just closed my window when he was goin to say something stupid again.
Then another guy knocked on my window and said to just send the ticket to dmv so it can be cancelled, he had the same problem.
So that's what I'm going to do, hopefully it works for me too.

It doesn't get canceled. But I do know this first hand. I received a parking ticket in Boston. It was 50 dollars. I was ripped. So, I wrote a letter, and mailed it to wherever it says on the back of the ticket. In my letter I was very nice and maid up a story. I asked them if they could just lower the ticket because I didn't make alot of money. And if they couldn't do anything about it just mail me back a new ticket and I would pay it.
And it worked. My ticket was canceled, and they sent me a letter saying that was my one freebie, anymore and I would have to pay.
So send a letter along with the ticket to the address on the back of the ticket. Make the letter sound intelligent.

The guy who approached and told me to send my ticket with a note to dmv, he had the same problem and he sent in his ticket and it got waved bec. he said that theyre not suppose to issue a ticket if the driver is in the car.
And there was a van behind me whose waiting for parking too but didnt get a ticket.

that would make sense. Just make sure you write a letter also. And just state your case. It wont hurt. So what if they say to bad you have to pay. Now at least you have more time to pay. Go ahead and send it in.

Whenever I got a parking ticket I would appeal it and send in a letter the reason why I shouldn't have received the ticket. The 2 times I received one was for not paying the parking meter. It was Out of Order when I parked there and the limit was 2 hrs free and when I came out to move my car I got a ticket cause the meter was working again. I just explained to them what happened and I got away without paying a penny. Just appeal it man.

I actually had that same thing happen to me in Worcester. I was going to court for a speeding ticket and all the meters had bags over them, so I was like "nice free parking". When I came out, along with everyone else, all the cars were loaded with tickets. We complained right away and they were all dropped.
