How much does the exhaust cost to get installed? Is it possible to do it myself? I installed my CAI without much problem...is it along the same difficulty or is it much harder?

they warranty it either way i beleive, its a Toyota product.. i dont think it has to be done by a Toyota dealership to keep the warranty.. ic ould be wrong

it will work with a turbo...the reason he may be saying no is because of how turbos work best with no back preasure, but yes a turbo will work with this...

its an axel back system....gains are about 6-7hp

They have as many exhausts as ordered. The company may have to order them after you place your order but anyone who wants one, gets one for these prices. That is at least what I understood when I talked to them.

The extended ones are more expensive than the standard exhausts. Need to recheck the figures...

Wus up? If you can install a CAI then you should have no problem installing this exhaust. It really shouldn't take you over an hour, at most, to do this. Hey what's going on? Yes, this exhaust will work with a turbo, but I would not think it would be your most optimal choice. It will work just fine but if I was going turbo then I would just wait on doing the exhaust then after I got my turbo installed go with a custom made 3 inch exhaust. That's my .02 cents. However, the TRD exhaust would work with the turbo it just might not make quite as much power as it would with a custom exhaust using bigger piping such as 3 inch all the way through. I would like to see and hear a video on the exhaust at idle..revving.. going at low rpms and high rpms. I am interested in the sound. At idle do you hear it at all? I love those rsxs that have that low not too high pitch. Even at idle and low rpms you hear something. It sounds like a jet.

I know there is an audio clip attached to the ImportTuner exhaust comparison. If I come across it, I will post unless someone knows the link already. I gets louder after 3000 rpm but for highway use, I understand that it's pretty quiet. I also like that it doesn't have the "rice" sound to it. It's a bit deeper than some others.

the TRD exhaust is the best performing. the most important point in my opinion :headbang: but if you are interested in more of an idle sound you won't get that much vs something like a Greddy or TRM

Yes there was and I believe it is still on. The TSRM may sound good and look good but be prepared to expect the TSRM to hit your rear bumper, make a weird noise at around 3K RPM, and possibly even melt your bumper due to weird alignment with the exhaust hole in the TRD bumper. Just so you know. You may experience any of the things I listed or you may not. For me, TRD is the only way to go, it looks the best IMO, performs the best IMO, and its not too loud and not too quiet, but hey to each his own. Just let me know if you want in on it or not.

Just to let you know, you have to pay for shipping also. Whereas, for this group buy, you don't. However, I bought mine from there because at the time, it was the best deal I could find( 2 months ago) overall i paid 530(extended GT)

Ok kids on the GTS the "washer" connects to the rear 2-piece the "donut" that is on the mufflerat the cat goes back. Dont over torque the bolts and USE WD -40 on the rubber HANGARS !!! it will come out with WD-40 !! After you do the first one you can do them all day in about 5 minutes

I always thought that it was on teh side of the exhaust. I would not even bother engraving something on the bottom because you would never see it so what is the point? Who knows.

Mine is engraved on the left side of the tip... but you can't see it cuz the bumper is blocking it... ohh well

On a side note, i installed it today... yeah i know i just got it today... but man this thing is hella quiet... I used to own a TSRM and a custom exhaust and this thing is no where near the sound levels of those, but man i love it!!! i feel the hp i lost downlow becuz of the straight pipe.... also, the car runs a lot smoother now, almost feels like it's gliding...

All in all, this is one great exhaust!! i would recommend anyone to get this exhaust

Yeah I was under the impression that TRD was engraved on both sides of the exhaust tip as well. Hmmmm................I wonder why some people's are only on one side. That is really weird.

On a side note Theres nothing to worry about this GB when Dope gives you the # to call you are calling an actual Toyota dealership its not some backwoods operation its all good when I ordered mine he couldnt believe the business he was getting from this and mine was on backorder. Well 9 days later it was in my garage . Just dont be an arse and ask the guy a bunch of BS ?s . If this works out who knows what other GBs he might hook us up with. ?He isnt making that much on each unit than selling 1 but when you multiply it by 100 he is maybe he has a cool boss that is thinking the same thing . who knows a TRD gas cover for $85 ?? Dope get it started :naughty:

well, i put it on today, fairly easy install, dish soap worked really good to get the exhaust off the hangers. only thing is when i was tightening the bolts that have the little springs on them, i stripped the bolt so i cant tighten it all the way, but i just went to the toyota dealer and they ordered one for me.
the exhaust itself isnt very load. cant even hear it when im in the car, my cai is louder but i had my girl drive it and it sounds badass when its going buy,

I got mine last week and it came with a certiticate that said it was legal, and said you should carry it in your car. It didn't say anything about " for off road use only".

Just out of curiosity, for those of you that already have your exhaust and have installed them, are you having problems with the exhaust not hanging correctly in the exhaust outlet of the bumper? Like are you having trouble with one side hanging more to the left or right? Is it hitting your bumper anywhere or anything like that? The reason I ask is because i have seen a lot of post arising lately about these issues and this exhaust so it kind of had me worried.

ordered my TRD extended exhaust on monday 2nd and just like Billy said it was there on wed 4th. got it on that night. those crazy bolts with springs gave me a good fight to get them off but they came right off with a wrench that was about a foot and a half long. the exhaust is excellent quality and looks great, sounds great, and i can tell i have more power and tq. only one weird problem...one of the nut that was included for bolting everything together was not the correct size. i just got a new bolt and everything is great. LOVE THIS TRD EXHAUST!!! just waiting on the TPR and i'll be real happy.
