almost arrested/car impounded

Well I was driving down the street. I noticed a car, takeing a certain road that is known for raceing. So I decided to follow. I was in the mood for a race. It's a quick 2 curve road with a small straight after the two curves. The other car was a nissan maxima "looks to be a 2000/2001. He took off quick but the first turn came up and he slowed. I was right beside him. As we came out the turn we both floored it. I was at 5krpms when we took off. I pulled 1/2 a car and then hit lift, and pulled at least 2 cars by the end. I had just hit 90mph and noticed the locals on the other side of the road driving by. I knew he was going to turn around so I kept my speed hit the next light made a few turns and kept going. But under control at this point. I made a few more turns and got to my buds house. By the way, I smoked the nissan maxima. Well I got to my buds and he wasnt home. So I figured I would head for the next town. And make my way towards mass. Bad move. The locals caught me at the nearest town line, which was 2 miles away. When he pulls me over he started yelling license registration. Then he asked me for my keys. And then he asked me where I wanted my car towed to. He said it was for reckless driving, and I better not get smart cause i know what he is talking about. I just sat there and said no sir I don't. I gave him my keys and was nice to him. He came back and said he will be arresting me for reckless driving. He estimated my speed to be 70mph in a 30. And i was like "in my head" buddy I was taching out third, I was doing more like 90. Believe it or not, he let me go. He told me that If I am doing 1mph over the speed limit and I go by anyone one of the cops I will be getting a ticket for everything possible.
I figure he only let me go because he had no proof it was me. I was 2 miles from the scene. And as Matt would know, there is another car like me in the area. Very much exactly like me. And my buddies have told me of a third like my car. So there was alot of doubt, especially sicne he couldn't get a plate number. there was a guard rail in the way.
I was just extremely lucky. But I also screwed myself now when I go out on the town. They see my car I better be going nice and slow.

hahaha i did 135 past a mass state trooper at lunch the other day on 495 south between lawrence and lowell....the road was bare and the cop was hiding around the corner....i think he tried to pull out but luckily i got off a couple exits down and parked in my buddies drive way behind a big van.....5 minutes later i see a statie cruise down a side street next to my buddies house but we were outside working on his car. lol this was in broad daylight with dry road and no one on the road...

Well I have thought many times about raceing now. And since this one deal, I will be thinking 3 times about raceing in woonsocket, under the bypass. The RI cops have been extremely nice lately. And now its time to hold up and sit back. There a nice bunch of fellas and they have done me good in the past. I dont want to soil the deal, even though I kinda have. It's time to be nice in RI, now mass is another story. HEHE.

Ya know it was just one of those days. Matt you should know where it was. it was the bypass in woonsocket. ! Gotta love those turns.

they shouldve. i believe they can impound your car and you can get arrested if you are doing 2x's the speed limit. but 90 in a 30. thats insane!

Yeah the cop took my keys when he pulled me over and walked back to his car. He told me my car was getting impounded, and he said I was also getting arrested. I guess he didn't want me to run. Hahaha.
I just denied it to the very end. He said it was a reckless driving charge. Now I drive around nice and slow over here.
