I am going to share some pics of a flare set that we developed for the 99-02 cougar that we can use as a reference on how you guys would like the celica versions to be done. We have a celica in the shop now having a body kit installed and he wants flares so we're going to mock up the flares on that car and you guys can see what the pieces will look like fully molded and painted before the production flares even exist.

These flares on the cougar are perpendicular to the ground at a 90 degree angle. This means that the flares get slightly wider at the bottom as the car tends to roll in slightly.

The measurements on these flares are 2.5" out from the wheel well at the top corners. The flare extends up on the sheet metal from wheel well 3.5".

On the flares I have to make the areas where it meets the bumpers and sideskirts universal so they can be used with all the kits on the market. The fenders and quarerpanel mounting points as well as the wheel well will all be fully finished and celica specific.

Also remember that this car in the pics is at stock height and has stock 6.5" wide wheels on it currently.

I need some feedback on what you guys want for the celica. Do you want wide rounded flares like this or more mild?

Below is a pic of a Tiburon with similar style flares

the size on the cougar is the same as the tiburon. Do you guys want them rounded over like the cougar? The ones on the tibby have a flat edge on them.

We can look at doing the spoiler when we do the blown kit at the end of the month. I'll be in CA this week but wanted to get the guys started on the flares before I leave.

Tib looks great. The flat flares will match the angular look of our cars perfectly.

any suggestions for lug stem extenders for the daily drivers who want to go flared w/ spacers??? or can anyone give suggestions for staggered rim brands that'll make our rims look flush to the new wheel wells
