I wanted to use the stripes as my background...so I just added the stars to the car.

Grammar Lesson:
I've heard it goes both ways, doesn't matter, but I think you need the comma after 'white'. I just think that looks wrong without it.
Now that is nitpicking.

It can go both ways. If a word is followed by "and" then you don't need the comma, but for aesthetic reasons, you're probably right;).
