Okie it's time for the first meet of the season so lets get this attendance list going.
Tentative date at this time is April 16th, 2004. Please reply with whether or not you'll be in attendance. For TX.us members, there will be 2 threads - one here at nc.org and one over at TX.us; Feel free to add your name to either attendance list. They'll be the same anyway. Also, feel free to advertise this meet to other 7thgen. boards. At this time I do believe the meet is exclusive to Celica folks. Our Seaside,NJ meet later this year will cater to ALL imports ;)

Location: Jillians in (Farmingdale) LI New York - on Route 110, Exit 49S on the LIE or 40S on the Northern State Parkway. Right by Adventureland...

Time: 6:30pm {plan is to proceed into Jillians @ approx. 7:30-7:45 wayyy before the "under 21" persecution begins}

Oh yea, if coming from outta NY just also add which State your venturing from. If those coming from MA for example can meet up, I'm sure we can have someone meet you to escort you to the meet so ya don;t get lost. Of course more than likely I'll be the escort but at times we've had willing souls to send :D . Alright then...

Dammit you guys. the car is in the shop now getting an overhaul and I'd love to make it to this meet, but I have classes until 5 that day and then it's a 6 hour drive so I'm not gonna be able to make it. I'm definatly down for some meets when college gets out in late May though. Keep me posted.

Sounds good to me ;) You might know a better way of getting there from here than I do. We used to have our Probe meets at Ruby's right there. I take the northern to the LIE to get there. I get out at 6 so meet me here then. I'll park my car in really conspicuous spot along the back edge of the lot at work. I can make everyone at the office look at the cars haha. :)

True - it is much faster - I used to work in Farmingdale and took the Tpke. home everyday because it sucked less than any of the parkways :)

i agree with jamie. what will be doing after this meet. like after the last meet, everyone went their seperate ways except a few of us who went to violas house. can we find something else to do after jillians or chilis???? will it really be worth us MA guys to drive 3 hours to hang out for 2, then go home again (not that i will be doing that)?? any other ideas?

This is nothing like the last meet which was not even planned by the Celica peeps. Please stop using that S2k/Acura meet as a measuring stick for Celica meets cuz we do it totally diff. and those in attendance last year know exactly what I mean. We've outgrown the 3 hour staring at car events with nothing to do afterwards. Trust me there will be something to do. I haven't dissapointed in the past and don't plan on doing so now..

Official plan is as posted on the 1st post on the thread. There are no changes of date, site venue or time regardless of hearsay. As far as after the meet is concerned: last year we were out by a bout 10ish or so since we all had fun inside. Whomever chooses to do what is proposed can do so..and whomever wants to shoot home can also do so. Either way everything other than the "after-meet" activities are pretty much set in stone.

please for the love of god dont' go there. there is nothing but muscle brain morons that work out, go straight to the bar and start fights.

trust me i know....i live acouple blocks down from them and i used to chill at my boys house 1/2 block down from montereys and all we see is dumb **** go down

the only good this is that they have some pretty scandalous chicks at those bars. i've actually seen 2 chicks give brain to 1 guy in a car right in front of my boys house :gap: ....the funny part is there were about 10-12 of us chiilling outside and they came to the car, got in it and then left :laugh:

There are places near westbury that i have stayed for like $85 a night. Around the holidays when I'm too tired to drive home I stay at a hotel.... Matt call me about this.

Then again if people are going to be crashing in this room, I suggest the Marriot near my work, the rooms are pretty decent sized.

i was thinking off a bigger room too BUT something like a suite is gonna cost a **** load of $$. but if you find a good motel/holiday inn with a bigger room, then it would come up to a workable/decent price

Matador -Lou can you get more info on these motels.. size? beds? location? price? I would really appreciate it. Wanna get everything worked out wayy before hand as we're now dwindling towards the meet date.

Also as it stands I told people to look to give $10 but if the motel can be that cheap, we could be looking at a dirt cheap price of bout $5 a person so please let me know.

For those coming from MA n NJ feel free to crash at the site. It's a long ride home and I wou;dnt expect anyone to do it all on the same day. I believe out of towners are not more than 10 or so. Thats not soo bad.

About associating usernames to faces at the meet, I have a real simple idea that would go well in even helping with pic/vid coverage of the meet. Why not design a lil cardboard...no more than 6" wide and 12" long. On it..you can design it as you like with your USERNAME as the subject text.
@ the meet, display this board on your dash. It will help in the long run when taking pics..so we dont have "Who's car is that?" questions..and also, people can assoc. the car with the username.

Trust me, alot of you will be in and out of your cars at the meet so people wll definitely seee who owns what.

Ok well it's now a week away, we have to settle this hotel arrangement. Marriot it is right?

Well we have to go about getting everything finalized. We're looking at $11/person which should cover the hotel room and beer..beer..beer.
So depending on how many are actually down for this, it could pan out right.

I think in order to book it someone has to use a credit card. I have no problems using mine but I would like all this resolved by later today. If you're down for the hotel which will include eats and drinks (I'll be taking a list), then reply and let me know. At this point Paypal seems to be the course of action as I am leaving myself out to get burned and will not take payments on the meet date until we've had enough people give $ to cover the hotel costs that night.

So ya...my g/f has just told me I'm writing a book so gonna stop here.
