When I get back from this deployment I wanted to drop my Celi some and I want to do it properly so the car rides nice and has little bounce. Money is really not an issue for me and I am going to have another car so in the winter I will not have to worry about using the Celi. I do not plan on using the car for auto crossing or anything like that. I was thinking about either Tein Basic Coilovers but I was curious to other options that are available.
Also with the Tein Basics or any spring/ strut combo is the install really difficult? I do not fell like paying to have this done since Fort Drum is in the middle of no where and I am going to get jacked for installation. Thanks

well you can always get a spring/strut combo which will put you around $500-600 at max. this will give you a good ride too BUT it won't drop you that much. maybe 2inches max. this drop will look very good with 18's. but if u plan on having 16's as long as u have ur car, u will need a bit more drop than 2inches
one of these thread had matts set up which was a springs(can't remember which 1) and a KYB shock combo. from what he said he had a pretty good ride quality and had no "ricer" bounce. plus he had 18's on. this way u can get an idea on what it will look like
PM speedeeGTS if you can't find the pic
BTW...when do you plan on coming back over here?

after with the KYB AGX and H&R sport spring setup (no settling yet)

with stock wheels after a few months

and with 18's

with the 18's, i have no rubbing whatsoever. IMHO, its the ideal drop for my area. not too low for winter, not too high for summer cruising, and not too low with a kit. i've never driven a lowered car, let alone with a kit and i can honestly say i only rubbed my front bumper once. and that was my own damn fault from being in a dark parking lot i've never been in before :(

Yeah I've seen Matt's car in person, the drop is perfect with the kit and rims, and the whole car looks real sleek and nice.

IMO TRD springs with KYB AGX struts would be best. The kyb's can handle up to a 1.5 in drop and are adjustable.

I have 17's (Konig Tantrums). Would the setup above be decent with 17's? What does that setup run price wise?
I will be back in May some time. Hopefully if you guys have another meet after that I would like to come down.

I currently have TRD springs only on my ride. You can come check it out at the next meet, or whenever you can come to one. The struts will help get rid of the "bounce" which my car has a bit of. TRD springs run anywhere from $150-200. KYB AGX $360-400+.
