It really simple. It come down to the fact that the Toyota and other jap cars are called this, because they can go long miles with out needing to stop at the gas station ever two min. And at the time people who hate the japs would call them that because of what they eat, trying to mock there cars and try to stay american only, because of the hate of japs. Maybe we should give them a name. Hows about MEAT.. Every time we see a muscle car lets yell = MEAT..

RiceBurner
1. Cars that people make look to fast but are actually slow.
If your car is riced out then you are a riceburner...if not you can correct that stupidity

I am quite sure, here in Europe, especially in Austria (where I live) and in Germany it is even worse...
As soon as you are not owning a german car like a volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes many people are laughing about japanse cars...
Not knowing about any of the advantages of this long lasting, high quality products.
Once of friend of mine (who is owning a BMW 320, new model) had a ride with my Toyota Avensis and was fully impressed about the power, the transmission, and the the road holding.... he always said while driving : "wow, better than my BMW"...
But as soon as he stepped out of my car he used the word "riceburner" again....
Could also be that he is jealous about having a bmw which costs 30 % more without having any advantage except "image"...
Well, i dont care....
greetz,

Other descriptive names are used in correlation to the "Rice-Rocket" term. A "Rice-Boy" or "Rice-Girl" is an Asian or Pacific Islander of a specific gender who owns and maintains a "Rice-Rocket", "Rice-Cooker", or "Rice-Burner".

Our cars are called riceburners cause it's from a Japanese company. Since Japaneses eat a lot of rice, they're called riceburners to mock the Japaneses. Also you can call our cars rice rockets too.
Now the word "RICE" is a term used to mean ugly crap that people put on their cars. There's a lot of debate on what people call "rice." Some might call Altezza's or bodykits "rice" ,but they are a matter of opinion and not necessarily "rice." Most of the herd call things "rice" cause they can't make up their own minds and have to be lead. Take Larry's old Celica for example, a lot of people would have called a windshield banner "rice" that is until they saw Larry's car and started to say nice.
