Does anyone have advice on how to get bugs off the front of my car. Some of them have been there for a while and I just can't get them off. I was the car every week or two.

I recently tried a Kitten brand bug & tar remover which worked on some but not all of them.

I feel like the stuff (which seems to just be like a regular polish) is damaging the finish as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wet a towel and set it over the area for a while to soften them up. If they are on a vertical surface you'll need to hold it on there or find something to prop it up with.

If they have been on there too long and other forms of washing/scubbing don't work I'd say to try a scratch remover polish. It will wear down thin layers of the clear coat, but will hopefully remove the bug stain too.

If you've left them on there awhile, then they may indeed (as bme107 has pointed out) have etched the clear coat. Bug guts are very acidic and unless you had a real good coat of wax on there to begin with, that is often the result. To see for sure if the mark is just on, not in, the clear coat clay the area. Clay WILL remove anything and everything on the painted surface. If there is still a mark there after claying, then do as bme107 suggested and try some scratch remover sparingly until the discolouration disappears.
