Ok as some of you know that I bought 17" on Tuesday, but the shop got the wrong offset for me. Some reason they insist it is right and they put it on my car anyways. Turned out they are 48 offset!!!! anyways, then yesterday I went back and told them and they admint they made a mistake. So the are willing to give me 18" for the same price of the 17" but I just have to paid the difference for the tire, which was like $200 overall. So now I have seem both 17" and 18" wheel on my car. All I can say is the 18s look so much better

Of course the 18s look better... but as Im sure you know it will hurt the performance of your car...

18's = show
17's =go

Plus 18's tires are going to cost you more, the ride will be stiffer and there is more of a chance of bending them (due to less tire around them)

But the choice is yours :gap:

Korywithak: Corrections..
16s: for go
17s: half go, half show
18s: all show
19s: all show no go.

Actually, I don't feel any performance lost. I have a Apexi RSM with g-sensor in my car, and I ran it with all 3 set of wheel. The results are pretty much the same in 1/4 mile, acceleration time, g-force, horse power and 0 to 60...

MP3Supply: yea I know is kinda funny. Right at the beginning I was all against 18s. But since the shop admit is their fault and not gonna charge more for the rim. I'm not complaining :) Overall I'm a lot happier with the 18s. Not because they look better. Just that my wheels are no longer tuck way the fawk in the car. :-)

That's weird, my 17's look just as big as your 18's in the pics LOL but then again my car is lower so that is probably it. Lower = less fender gap

Guys is not matter about 17 or 18. IT WILL be 18s because I can't go back :-) Which right now I have no regrets. I still have my stock if I do autocross or track.

Also yes, I have the TRD extended exhaust. It sticks out about 2".

What is the difference between the tires you were using? The tires on the 17" look too small.

celica is all about handling anyways, it sucks in a straight line, so with 18's you get better grip and look mad sexy :)

in the first pic of your 17's your rear camber looks so out of wack, but in the pics of your 18's everything looks fine. did you install camber links?

BTW, the 18's look way better, and I'm glad to see that you chose a more suitable offset. :)
