I ran the bottle quite a bit this weekend..It's running just great, but Id figure Id be safe and pull compression sence I havent done it in a while. First sign was good..all the plugs looked perfect..No fouling, no ****ed up plugs, no black speckles, just a healthy whitish-brown insulator and the electrode and what not looked great as well..By the way, im using the stock denso's so It looks like im getting a perfect nitrous burn.

here's the numbers

#1(Closest to the belts)-240psi
#2) 235psi
#3)245psi
#4)235psi

Now I read the pressure should be no lower then 145psi, so im good there, but the pressre should be around 203psi..I figured maby my guage was off so I tried another guage and that came to just about the same numbers.

Do you think there's a problem with running that high off a cylinder pressure? The engine has a new short block with like maby 10k miles on it...

have you ever misshifted before and had your head resuraced. becuase with #s like that it means your car is running at higher compression then 11.5:1

I did misshift when I first bought it..They gave me a whole new head..I actually saw my old one (Valves stuck in it and everything) sitting on the side of the bay while they were putting in the new head on..a year later I had low compression on my #3(go figure #3 hey larry) and they gave me a whole new short block. I dont believe the ever machined the head, but they did send it out to "Check clearences" so maby they did...As far as I know, this is a zero tolorance motor and I dont think it would be possible to deck the block or shave the head..I dunno for sure..

Guys....a compression of 145 equals 8.0 aprox... My turboed teg with 8.5 just managed a 160-155 comp. and my GTS got 240-250.........It's normal value for 11.5/1...

how do you check the compression?

buy a 30 dollar compression tester..pull out your spark plugs and disconnect your injectors. Screw the compression tester into the spark plug hole. Have someone fully press the gas while cranking the engine. Everytime the engine cranks over the needle on the compression guage will jump up..Keep cranking untill the needle stops moving.. Do this for each cylender. Also, when your done, youll need to reset the ecu because youll have mis-fire codes for all 4 cylenders..

ok, cool. how do you disconnect the fuel injectors?

When you take off the black plastic cover(gt-s) there's four little clips..those connect to your injectors.

BTW, i pulled compression on X-evil-X's gts today and his number we about the same as mine, like 230 235 230 245..
