Only when i shift at rpms above 5000. when i downshift i have to rev match to keep from grinding. And when i quick shift from first to second. Does anyone know what parts need to be replaced and how much they cost? I'm assuning its only the second gear synchro and not the gear itself. Anyone have any knowledge on this....Esp those of you who had your synchros fixed already. Part numbers would help also. Any help is appreciated guys.
Thanks In Advance...

If your car is still under warranty I would take everything off and go in to toyota and tell them what's wrong. tell them it grinds while going into second gear and you don't know why. The only thing they might notice is your bushings since that gives a crisper feel to the shifter. do you get what i mean? if they don't say that your aftermarket stuff voids the warranty then you will be fine when you take it in for repairs

Forget about them covering your clutch, it's not going to happen.
The syncro's should be covered under warranty. if you have a short shifter or the aftermarket knob I would take it off and make sure everything looks stock. Go in and tell them what happened. you never know. Sorry to hear this by the way, I have it worse off than you right now. But it's not somehting I want to get into right now. Peace.
I think he meant that since he has an aftermarket clutch in there that Toyota will void the warranty.

Just don't tell them you have an aftermarket. Should be fine. :)

Dude, I'd still take it in. AT this point the worst they can say is NO.
So buck up , and take it in. And take it to a few dealerships....

I dunno where this 50k stuff keeps comin from...... YOU HAVE 60K on the drivetrain..........
At this point... search for a whole new tranny and bolt the sucker on yourself. It MIGHT cost less. Then call around to reputable shops and ask how much it'll cost to do your tranny.
