I know why he his GT is so fast.....He put in a GTS engine. j/k Nice times. If you were to drive a GTS you could probably get into the 13's.

if someoen with a GTS stripped there interior as much as he does theyd run 13s.. ahem icyjaws :)

With open differential or LSD? Who has one for the Celi now. The TRD gear is discontinued. I heard KAAZ is the best on the market.

we all know those so GT's can't run 14's :p Just like a GT-S can't get in the 100's ;)
I got all my goals tho for fri back in the 2.3's,14.3's and the 100's just didn't do it all on the same run like i wanted to.

larryd
03-06-2002, 04:19 AM

Congrats Maelf! Good stuff. Your 60' time can be improved greatly! Would shave another 2 tenths off your time if you got on that. If I can bust a 2.345, you must be able to do it better :-)

lmao, speaking of which, where are all the bolts (and what size are they) on the passenger side front seat, and the back seats. and do they just come right out after removing those? do you have to remove anything to get at them?

maelfyn: what else can you take out of there :)

I dont get it by looking at his times in other runs it seems like this run he pulled so hard after the 1/8 mile. I dont get how his car pulls so hard in 3rd. I usually lose it to cars in 3rd? Malefyn, what mods do you have done to your car?

Congrats man. Now, can you take that thing down to the scales? I'm curious what the car weighs now.

I already told you on the other forum but, again, nicely done man. Still haven't told me your tricks... I know you do weigh reduction but, to what extent???

didn't pick up the hints from other people there? :D

i think he took out back seats, passenger seat, spare tire, jack, and possibly some more stuff too. he's also running on the GT wheels i think. which are lighter than the 16" GTS alloys but hard to launch on.

hell, next time you guys go, disconnect your power steering and AC and yank out all the carpeting and lthe driver's seat (sit on the floor)

Billy. he strips the interior down to everything except the driver seat center console and dash.. thats it..

when are you heading back to the track?

you need to use slicks because your trap speed is good for a mid/low 14 if not better. i think you were spinning alot in first.

Oh ic, Larryd I've been practicing on the streets but, I have to go away again for a month or so next week so, I'll hit the track soon after...

Don't forget I'm in the military still.
