Hey you guys, well i went in to Body Works Unlimited to get a quote on my rear bumper which needs to be painted. I was also talking to the owner about sponsorships. This shop does alot of imports/tuner cars. Anyways he said that they dont really do sponsoring but they do do discounting. Basically, if i advertise for them, ie put a sticker on my rear or front window that says Body Works Unlimited, and have their business cards with my car at car shows, that I would then get discount on installations and custom work. So my quote for my bumper was $623.00 and he is letting me get the work done for $450.00 which will include exterior and interior detailing, wash and waxing, and a buffing of the whole car. I was telling him how i wanna get springs and struts and rims and stuff and how i really would like to make it into a show car and he said that he would give me discount for advertisement. I'm assuming as my car gets better looking and stuff that he will ask me to attend some shows that he would like me to go to.
So here is my question... should i do it? Where should i put the banner sticker, back or front windshield?
here is there site: http://www.bodyworks-unlimited.com

Do it greg...thats where i got my car fixed. Ya Tony is really cool...just ask him about my celica...the 2001 silver GT, they had it for almost a month and it was banged up REALLY bad but when i got it back u couldnt tell anything even happened to it..and TRUST ME i am really picky about looking for things that are wrong. I support bodyworks ...sorta..i took the frame off my old car and it advertises them in the back of my car...( i dunno.. i would personally put the banner in the rear of the car(it just depends on how big it is)...its easier for people to read cuz people are driving behind u)...but ya man..u have nothing to lose

IMO greg...u shouldn't do it and here is why
to save a misley $175ish, you will have to push their name on ur car and will have to put stickers on ur car. I can understand if u have $$ to make ur whip into a show car with in the next year or 2. this way u will save alot of money OVER TIME going to them and doing alot of custom work. BUT you and i both know that u won't be able to do custom work (atleast for show quality) atleast for the next 2-3+ years. so for all that time you "save up" to do what u want, you will have to push his name. PLUS not to mention the celi will not be so popular to "mod" anymore. heck it's starting to loose it's appeal now

Reading the title of this thread, and the author who posted it, made me laugh outright before I even read what's inside. :gap:
You and your stock celica, outside the kit (which is stock technically) is gonna have a sponsorship, before half of us who've spent a lot of money on the appearance of the car at the very least. Someone gimme a sponsorship, lol, ummm.... no not really. :gap:

I'm sponsored.... I don't have a lot done yet. If they see you have potential and that you outgoing as far as shows and promoting the company they will give you a chance.
I am sponsored by Motegi Racing and pending with 2 other companies.

I bet $1000 that you're car will be stock in 2-3 years and by that time, the Celica will be the thing of the past. I don't think your parents will allow you to spend thousands on your car to make it "show" quality.
