ez pass and Windshield banners

hey guys i wan to get an ez pass.. i was wondering does anyone here have the windshield banner stickers and have a ezpass Internal . i was goona apply but my freidn said that i cant since i have a windshield banner . any thoughts?

correct me if I'm wrong but isnt the EZpass a little device that lets you go thru the toll booths? when you have enough balance on your account with ezpass? We have the same thing here in va only its called Smart tag....but if so why does the windshield banner make a difference?

just put the ezpass somewhere else on ur windshield ... instead of under the rear view mirror.. maybe put it just below ur banner and off the side .. they should be able to detect .. cuz not all windshields are the same ... so they must compensate for that somehow

I just throw my EZ Pass on the dashboard above the clock when I'm going through a toll. It stays just fine. I don't have it mounted permanently.

I predict that EZ pass and equivilents will be used to track people in the future. They can already use it to track your speed from toll to toll. Too bad for them they are already bankrupt.
Get this: If you want to go to NYC you have to pay 6 dollars cash, but 4 dollars with EZ pass. I wonder if they are trying to force people to use it in a subtle way?

you cant mount the ez-pass anywhere and it will work as long as their is no metal blocking it
it sends out a signal
so plastic and glass is fine. i dont think window banners will block it

we have trouble getting out ez-pass to register. just last week we got 2 violations in 1 day. i stick it out the sunroof now

All ready has been used in devoice court. :gap: But if you don't want to be tracked, pay cash. You need a special silver bag that is used to store exposed electronics, like video sound cards, hard drives. It's called a Faraday cage, it has a coating to prevent static build up. It also blocks the communication between the ez pass and the toll both. I received mine with the ezpasses I ordered. Used it when I needed to use up my tokens before they were discontinued.

is your windshield banner tint or do you have vinyl?

i had a vinyl shadeband and i just sat it a little lower than the end, and it was good. another option is just to hold it up by hand when you go through--

I don't have mine mounted cause I think it looks bad...I just hold mine up to the windshield when I go thru. :)

My ex had his whole winshield tinted with the mirror tint...he HAD to hold his out the sunroof to get it to reg....really sucked in the rain lol
