View Full Version : Carbon Fiber Sub Enclosure?

Would it be possible to make a carbon fiber sub enclosure. I was thinking about this today. You can buy carbon fiber fabric (boat makers use this in making racing boats) and epoxy that dries clear. I think it has the possibility of looking pretty good and being strong as well.

Carbon fiber is really $$$. If you have the money you could do it though. You would need to put it in a vacuum for it to be smooth and look good though.

actuelly...to get the look u want it won't be TOO expensive...what alot of installers around my area do is they will build the entire enclose from fiberglass, and then put a layer of CF on top of it all on the parts you can see....theres no point to do the entire enclosure out of CF.
