Feedback on Nitto NT555

I am lookin at gettin the Nitto NT555's when I get my 17 x 8's, cause they are the only company that makes a 225/40 17 . I was just looking for some feedback on the quality of the NT555's from celica owners. How do they compare with other tires? The most important quality for me is performance in the corners. I am not too worried about wet traction since my car will be in cali. Thanx in advance for your input.

The NT555 is a big step forward from their NT450 or NT505. I've always hated NT450s (tho they last a hella long time) but the NT555's brought nothing but smiles. Excellent tires, and they lasted me almost 25k miles and were still going strong when I sold my last car with the rims still on them. They grip strong in the corners, handle pretty well in the wet, and are also pretty quiet. You can't really go wrong with them.

There are better tires that provide more for a higher price, but these will more than satisfy you.
