What are their gains, and what is included in their kit??? also, i know its $6000...thats alot of cash...but does that include installation? (6000 for kit and install aint that bad..) thanx everybody

Yes, they have one for the GTS
It comes with everything you need, they install themselves, so you need to bring or ship your car to them. I bleive its a ball bearing turbo, with all hoses and an intercooler. Only one problem...6 Grand for 60 HP....I know it works best in the Manual. I think they had problems with the auto tranny...

60 hp!!! i understand the compression ratio is high, but damn...only 60 hp...i dunno if it is all talk, but why is this kid (forgot the sign in name) making a turbo that will prolly have the celi end up in the range of 300-325 horse and not blowing any engines?? how much boost is that anyway (xs egineering)? BTW thanx for the feedback

the XS turbo is boosting near 5 psi for daily driving, i believe that it can be turned up to a max 7.5 psi. i might be mistaken. if you change the internals, you could boost higher or change the head gasket to handle the pressure.

it actually made 288 hp and something around 190tq.
i dont think its that bad BUT they wont sell the kit yet.
call um up and beg em...

I bet you could convince them to put it on your car if you put in some 8.5:1 comp forged pistons, etc. Then you could probably even crank the boost up even higher.

that is true..but, that just means even more money for the pistons...let alone installation... and then the kit and installation...or u think they would install the pistons too?

I don't know. I kinda figured for about $8k you could probably get a GT-S up to 320hp. Then again I'm completely guessing there. You'd definately need to put in a LSD to handle all that power. New clutch and flywheel too.

True, I can't find it on the site. However:
"Whether you are in the market for a turbocharger upgrade or looking to add a turbocharger system to your Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Acura, Mitsubishi or Mazda, XS Engineering has the right turbo that will make you "Feel The Power!" With our experience in this field, it is never a problem for us to create a custom turbocharger to suit your specific needs."
from http://www.xs-engineering.com/turbocharger.html

So I think if you called them up, explained your setup (ie lower comp pistons, etc) I don't think they'd have a problem with putting the setup on your car. They probably just don't want to sell it as a kit for people with stock internals to buy for fear of having a bunch of peeps blow engines with it and blams XS.

edit: wasn't that $6k supposed to cover ALL necessary parts, the installation, AND dynotuning? To me, that doesn't sound like such a bad price if they do all that. Then again, I've never had a serious turbo put in a car before. Let me know if I'm way off here.

hey guys if anyone wants this kit i can get it my car was used to fit the alt celica. Before alt had a celica they had mine which is white if you see a brochure from alt my celica is the one in the brochure. any way my car was at xs for one day and they took pictures measurements and kinds of neat things. the last time i spoke to them they asked me when i was going in to get my installation but i am yet debating on sc or turbo. if you want a turbo and have the money like our friend said xs is the way to go the only bad thing is that a trubo is high maintenance unlike a sc which in my opinion is more for a daily driver. what do you guys think?

well remember that the xs kit is custom so since my car is a dailydriver and i live in california i have to consider all sorts of other obsticles like yearly smog checks, emissions and stuff like that but when i get my car back from the body shop i will probably drop it in. My only concern is that the blitz kit could put out the same hp and be less of a custom job!!

I talked to an XS engineer yesturday. The are NOT planning on releasing the turbo kit, and currently are not installing it publicly.

$6,000 for 60hp... that's not horrible it's some gain.. i'm looking at $7,000+install/tuning to get a turbo on this car.. so i figure i'll have to wait a while.. :( damn it... -gage

hence the reason I didnt buy an s2k.. cars that come from the factory with a turbo are much cheaper to upgrade :)
