Coolent Level Low?

Hey guys. I looked at my coolent level today and it was just a tad below the "low" line. I added some coolent. I have almost 8k miles. Did you guys ever have to add any? This is my first brand new car so are they supposed to lose this much? I used to add coolent with my old teg ever so often but how about a new car?

Dude check your water pump. MIne was leaking pretty badly at 30K. If your pump is ok then a slight drop in coolant level is ok. They can get vaporized.

can you use regular coolant? i think the owners manual said to use something special but i can't remember... mine's low too

I used ethylene glycol base. Havoline has a good one out. The owners manuel tells you to bring in your car for everything. Where is the water pump by the way?
