When I turn on my 2002 Celica GT it has this weird whistiling/fluttering noise. It has 27,000 miles and I hate this car. It could be that i need to change the oil but the dealer ship should have changed the oil when i bought it about a month ago. (they said they did)

Check the oil yourself just to make sure!

Sounds like a broken belt tensioner. Happens to everyone. Do a searh.

Yeah sounds like a broken belt tensioner too. Try bring it back to the dealership and inquire about the replacement to I think the new corolla type? That's what I have in my machine, and over 40,000 miles with no squeeks and no physical belt vibration and I'm happy since. :D

I can't think of any low/bad oil problem that would cause a whistling or whirring. I'm with blue--try some belt dressing or a new belt.

It's the belt tensioner. Guaranteed.
