I'm planning on dropping my 2000 celica with the TRD lowering spring.
Does anyone here install lowering spring "without changing the stock strut"? I was told that if I keep the stock strut, the car will damp so much. Is it true?
Anybody has experience on this? pls help. I need some advice....
thanks

TRD springs with the stock struts should be fine. It will, however, cause the struts to wore out prematurely. At which point, you'll have to order some TRD struts, but the stock struts should last you about two-three yrs depending on road conditions. Now if you travel on rough roads all the time expect them to wear out quicker. The estimate for two-three yrs is assuming you travel on the highway a lot.

Sure can, but only ones with a moderate drop like H&R, Hotchkis, Progressive, Eibach Pro-kit. If you go for big drop like Tannabe or Ground Control, it'll be better than stock, but it will wore out quickly too. The reason is the TRD struts are designed for a 1.5 in drop, go lower and you get the idea.
