Was wondering if there is an aftermarket MSD like ignition controller for our celicas?
Taking my car in for a Super Charger fitting today at 2:30, Dale Engineering is going to try to figure out how to get an SC into my car.
Also, do anyone know anyhting aobut the crank in our cars, and specs? can we put new pistons in?

HKS has their Twin Power Ignition, but I don't think it controls ingnition timing It just ups the voltage going to the coils. To be honest I don't think you'll need it, but I could be wrong. So, as far as I know nobody makes what you are looking for, or I just haven't been looking for it.
Good luck with the SC.

hopefully it wont be necesary..hopefully the ECU will compensate and adjust the spark timing.. anyhow B&M also has the New Volt which does the same thing as the HKS.. not sure if it can adjust the timing though or not.. the Apexi S-ITC does adjust the timing, just not sure if it would work on the Celica or not..
what type of blower are you looking to install..its a tight fit no matter what..some stuff has to be removed and some stuff has to be relocated to get anything in there.. good luck.. i tossed the idea around for a week.. lost interest with the difficulty http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/wink.gif

Well, we talked about it for about an hour. He told me that if we can find a super charger that will run of the same type of belt thats in there now, we will be all set.
He would have to do some custom machining, but thats what he does. :-P
His concern was not knowing what the motor is pushing for PSI now, he said if you double the atmospheric pressure, you double the HP, so if our cars run 14PSI now, and we push in another 14PSI, then we would gain 200HP.
So now for the next couple weeks I need to find the best super charger to use, and find a way to fund it.
So far I have research the Easton, and Paxton super chargers, and have found a couble models that might work.

your best bet for fit is an Eaton M45.. roots type blower.. not the most efficient blower but for smaller applications ie 6lbs or so an M45 would be perfect..

Thats the model I was looking at. Not sure how I would get the belt assebly working though. I would need to find a larger belt first I supposed.
It sucks because no one including myself has the money to test dif super chargers, I wonder if they take returns if it doesn't work out...

well any s/c is gonna need a longer belt to be able to rap it around the current stuff.. the M45 is logical because its for small boost applications and its the smallest blower.. we need the extra room..

What I may do is get the demension of Eaton's web site and make a cardboard model of the SC. I can plot everything out with autocad and make a 1:1 scale of the SC. Then I can get more of an idea how it would fit with everything.
Any other sugestions?

well i can tell you from personal experience your gonna want the s/c yourself to look at it.. i had an M62 housing to play with.. its too big.. the m45 might fit better..its a little shorter.. but youd still have to take off the fan and prolly relocate the coolant bottle and definitely remove the cruise control. for an idea.. look at this pic..
