I've thinking a lot about taking my Celica down to Toyota and letting them put a sunroof in it, but it's common knownledge that aftermarket sunroofs leak if not done correctly. Would it be worth the money, and about how much would it cost to have it done if anyone knows? Thanks!

i think there are a few members on the boards who did this. I dont remember how much they said it costed, but if it's done right, there shouldnt be no leaks at all.

Surprisingly yes. My friend had one put on her Camry from the dealership.

If it leaks, it's under warranty. She hasn't had a problem with it yet, as far as I know.

sunroofs are cool... but most likely with an aftermarket sunroof it will take a bit away from the chasis rigidity.

:) I'm so excited now! $550 is so worth it. I actually was thinking it was going to be about 3 or 4 times that!

I honestly don't like the looks of the aftermarket sunroof on the Celica. It does not look like factory at all. I am in Central California and I was quoted $850 installed. This is what the sunroof would look like:

Here it is installed on a Celica.

I'd rather have it look like this where the sunroof goes inside, but the installer said its not possible since it will not fit on a Celica.

Can someone show pics of how the stock sunroof looks for a refresher?

Im getting one installed in mine but its only a pop up one, it doesnt slide back. They look much better than the ones pictured above, IMO.

i think WARRANTY is one of the most important things to look for when getting an AFTERMARKET sunroof. =)

The stock sunroof pops up and slides back, like in the first set of pics not like the last pic...
