It was mentioned in scc ( the 8 great rides issue) that toyota said the rev limiter on the car they tested was a glitch. Can someone shed some light on this issue...cuz if it is a glitch cant we get it fixed?

first i think that SCC thought that it wouldn't rev higher than 7500 instead of 7800. Its not like they were holding a redline of 7500 and came to that decision. I think they were just off a little bit and claimed 7500 instead of the 7800 it is. really,... 300 rpms on our tech is very close.

i heard something similar that toyota knows theres a problem with the rev limiter on a down shift, they just dont admit it

Ya, mine is the same, but I think the difference has more to do with the tachometer reading incorrectly. Stock tachs are not usually that accurate.

Its still bull$hit. I love it when they say it prevents misshifting. Now the car only revs to 12 K instead of 13K right? what a bunch of a$$holes. I think that between the suspension and relative power, they had a much better performing car than the RSX, now they screwed it up.

Word............it is bull****.............my bro wrecked my 00..cant really help that it was an accident...so I get an 02 thinkin it would be the same....and it was and is a good car..with that exception. Im still not used to it even though ive had for 7 months. I cant get over that it cant hit 8000 rpm.
