They are blowing smoke up your ass.

TRD can't take all the rights to something that hasn't even been developed yet. By the way, Jackson Racing uses eaton type superchargers, not vortech.

TRD doesnt have all the rights to it but see what happens is a company will make a kit, TRD will copy the design and profit from that companies R&D

Toyota can't stop another company from producing performance parts or kits for any car unless they sign an agreement. So I think they are givin you a line there.

You dont know, TRD might be designing the supercharger and Jackson Racing will be the manufacturer.

Some company are like that, they have a contract that the manufacturer cant go around the middleman(in this case JR cant sell directly to customer).

I have a strong feeling that TRD have something up their sleeves. And JR will be part of it.

Unfortunately, we will not be making any Toyota supercharger applicationsas
TRD has the supercharger market for Toyota. Sorry I could not be offurther
assistance.

Subject: Supercharger inquiry.

Hi,
I'm an owner of a 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S. I am curious why a company
of your stature has yet to even look towards the Celica? Jackson Racing
produces superchargers for cars that supercharged I can still beat at
the track, with my naturally aspirated Celica. Is there something that
we (Celica owners) are missing here? Why would you not want to produce
a supercharger for this car? I see no issues with space, as Blitz (
www.blitz-na.com
direct link to pic here http://www.blitz-na.com/Image/supercharger.jpg
) will have a supercharger out later this summer. I see no issues with
compression, (you make one for the integra 1.8 litre). So what is it?
Jackson Racing would have customers lined up around the block to buy
a supercharger for the GT-S. Please enlighten me because I'm lost as
to why this is...........
thanks for your time.

I then wrote him back and said ... hmm that's funny cuz TRD reps have told me they are making ZERO forced induction setups for the Celica,, HE DIDN'T RESPOND TO THAT. so he's full of _______ fill in the blank for yourself .
this is just the typical BS from a company that doesnt' even wanna look in our direction, so screw them.

Look at their product list. Unfortunately, they are not interested in making products for any Toyotas.

they aren't gonna make a SC for the celica because it doesn't make business sense to them. If they made a SC and TRD also came out with one most people would go with the TRD because Toyota dealership can advertise it better, warrenty issues and just because it's a toyota product. This is probably scaring off other companies too. IMO they should have started development a year ago and beat TRD to the market.

OK, i wrote about this before. I was working a deal with Jackson Racing before and this is what came out of it. The reason why Jackson racing can not make a supercharger for the Celica is beacuse the use ONLY Eaton Blowers componets for their kits. TRD has a contract with Eaton for the componets that need to be used with the Celica and kind of Intelectual rights. So Eaton will not sell Jackson Racing the components they need for the kit. Jackson racing is just being loyal to their supplier so we are getting screwed by TRD not Jackson Racing.
