You will have to exuse me, this is a post about my Integra, but I also have an insurance question.

Starting next month Im wanting to drop the insurance on my Integra while I garage it and prep for a JDM front conversion and new coat of paint, along with other misc stuff. Like taking my calipers off and getting them powder coated, shaving the car, among other minor things.

This will help save me an extra $230 a month (Im looking at a 6 month project). Im still paying on my car, so Ive heard a few conflicting stories.

I know upon cancelation of insurance you have to turn in your license plate and tag, and upon reinstating it I have to buy a whole new plate and tag. Sure, no problem. Some people have told me that the bank will allow this while sometimes the bank (or in my case Cred Union) will seize the car if there is no insurance on it.

Im going to call tommorow for a straight up answer, I was just wondering if anyone else has experience with this sort of thing? Also, do insurance companies have special low pricing policies for cars that are basically garaged (aka trailer queens)?

PS: And yes in a few months I will have a 98+ front end conversion for sale with Type R lip since some of you keep buggin me about it! =P

Thanks for any insight!

in CA if its unregistered for a couple years it'll become salvage i think.

there maybe be an equivalent for where u are.... only people in your state can truly help you.

your best bet is to ask any official who knows.... maybe your DMV, but if ur DMV is as busy as ours are, good luck
