I am helping my friend to turbo his celica 02 GT. I have done turbo installs and swaps on already turobed cars and what not. I have a couple Q's about the celica i don't know much about them i am more of a DSM guys (eagle talon elcipse laser). I know we will need a custom mani for the turbo, other then that Would a 14B turbo off a 1G talon be to big for the celica GT motor or would a T25 be best? Do the kits for the celica now use T25. I know alot of honda turbo kits use it. We are using a 1st gen stock BOV for his car and will make some custom intercooler pipes so we can use a stock side mount intercooler from a 1st gen dsm also. Would any one know if injectors from a supra or eclipse fit in a celica? We will be using a super afc to controll fuel for the car. How much HP can a stock block with stock internals handle on a celica GT. I don't want to put the turbo on then blow the motor the same day. Any info would be great. I did a quick look around to get some more info on this site and didn't see any of the info i needed.

1. Do the kits for the celica now use T25.
K04, T3, T25 have been used.

2. Would any one know if injectors from a supra or eclipse fit in a celica?
Not in a GT. Seems like nothing fits in the 1ZZ without some modification.

3. We will be using a super afc to controll fuel for the car.
Good luck with that.

4. How much HP can a stock block with stock internals handle on a celica GT.
IMO, this is still an unknown. But general consensus is about 250whp is where you should worry about things breaking.

You didn't look very hard.

So a super afc wont work with the celica ecu. I did a search for manifold and did get much, i will look around some more. Thanks for the info it has helped alot.

I recall reading something about not going higher then 6PSI on stock internals.

cool2MikeTlu was running on 6PSI and had about 225whp. All depends on the tuning work I guess.

cool. Thanks. I was looking up some info on the fuel systems its pretty intresting. Its more work turboing a celica then i thought. I was hoping it would as easy as turboing a civic.

The SF kit has logged 12 psi on a completely stock internals. Of course that was with the SF fuel system and SF alcohol injection. Oh and I don't know about cool2miketlu putting down that much on 6 psi. I've never seen dynos of that before.

I guess we should ask him.

Wasn't 12PSI only for 1 run on the dyno? I wouldn't risk my engine to run 12PSI without aftermarket internals on daily base driving.

If anyone with SF kit with stock internals that runs on 12PSI everyday, please let us know. People might not have to change internals at all then.

It was 7 psi at 223FWHP and 198 ft/lb torque, I only posted the untuned dyno a long time ago at around 210HP before any tuning done and before the fuel system.
I did post what I got tuned after fuel system which was confirmed by my tuner at Church Racing, but I did not post a scan of the dyno because I do not have scanner and now I can not find that dyno :(
Here is the link to my post a long time ago http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=44951&highlight=dyno
The pics is not shown but if you have imagestation account you can check the untuned dynos out.

The consensus is 250FWHP for safe, SF kit ran 12psi and only got 250FWHP on a pig rich A/F mixture I would not really call that totally good or safe.
