CAI package with Custom

Hey guys need some help here.

the AEM CAI package i odered from US is with the Australian custom and i need to go and pick it up.

I don't have experience with this before, does that mean now i need to paid tax? Any idea how i could avoid this or paid less tax?

Any help/suggestion would be appreciated guys!

hmm....i THINK that may mean you need to pay the tax..

my AEM just got delivered to my door...so I musta been lucky :)
altho...I know that it was inspected, so i'm not too sure...

i got my cai delivered to my door, BUT, it had red tape allover it saying it had been inspected by australian customs. cost me an extra $25 at the post office cause they opened it to have a look.. bastar ds.

I'm asume the sender have also send through a invoice.
in that case i'll be paying the full tax, damn it.

and now i have to drive all the way to parramatta (very far from where i'm) to pick it up.

From experience, if you purchase anything over $300 AUD, then you will have to pay tax on it. Its a pain!

I don't think the guy have send an invocie with the package.
reckon i can make up a fake one under $300 AUS

I ordered AEM Gen 2 CAI today and got him to ship it without an invoice in the package, that should get around it... Hes postage the invoice in a separate envelope ;)

he sended me an invoice,
on the invoice it said $70 for the intake and $50 for postage..
so $120US all up!!

Not bad i maybe able to aviod tax after all!

Picked up my package finally.
Didn't paid a cent in tax =))

Got my Gen 2 CAI today, ill install it on the weekend.
No customs stickers on my box at all though... and only 6 days for delivery, not bad at all, well done Jony.
