Hey I have two really powerful Pioneer Home Speakers that my parents gave me cause they just got a whole bose system deal. Anyway I was wondering if there is anyway I could hook those speakers up into my car? It just connecting the right wires isn't it?

Yes and no. What's the resistance of the speakers? You have an amp for them?
I had a friend that did this a long time ago. It sounded ok...I mean, if you have nothing better to do try it. But don't expect it to sound like a "real" sub...

wtf you wanna put your home speakers in your car...... the two are based on completely different sound dynamics and you're better off going to radio shack and picking up a pair of their tweeters cause they'll sound 10 times better than your 3-way home speakers...

I am no expert but...
Seems to me that a properly designed speaker would sound good anywhere. yes I realize that the acoustics of the playing room (or car interior) plays a huge role in the sound but so what? A properly designed speaker reproduces music acurately. If the interior of a car screws up that sound, well then, it isn't the fault of the speaker.
If they are good speakers then you ought to be able to have decent sound in your car.

I agree with you. My primary concern is that most home speakers run at like an 8-ohm load. Put these on a 300W amp (at 4-ohms) and you only get like 100W's or something.
But, as you said, a speaker is a speaker. You just need to provide sufficent power IMO.
