Do any of you with the auto-dimming rear view mirror with temp and compass still have the manual/booklet for it? I was messing around with my mirror and I managed to get the compass in some sort of calibration mode. All it does is display numbers (1 through 14) instead of direction. I was hoping the manual for the mirror would say how to get it out of this mode.

Greg,
if you get a "C" in the compass window, then drive around in a circle < 5mph until you get a direction..like "SW".
if you get some numbers and a "C", then you might be in Celsius.
"OC" means the temp sensor is open.
"SC" means the temp sensor is shorted.
hope this helps.
pj

ack, u got in the region selection crap. i'll see if i can get ya the codes on which one you need (father works for delphi/delco, the ones that produce those)
i think if u can get it in the learning mode (the one where ya drive around in circles) u can override the regional selection

I'd really appreciate it. The circle thing didn't help. I even tried disconnecting the battery cable for about 20 minutes. I've tried every button combination I can think of.

I've got a gentex also but didn't have to calibrate it. It's doing just fine already. :D

Anyway it looks like his is in some other sorta mode.

when i first installed mine i bought it way after i bought the car in the directions it says you need to do a full 360 and that will calbrate it when it looses power i think it resets it self!

For anyone else out there who may have lost or thrown away the manual to the mirror, you can find it here :
