hey,

i'm a newbie to this forum and i own a toyota matrix 4wd. the reason i'm here because i think this forum would be a bes place to broaden my knowledge of the toyota platform, mainly of the suspension area and the 1zz motor.

the main reason i'm here is because i want to know more about the tein coilover, the guys at the matrixowners.com are saying that the rear coilovers are similar to the new celicas and not at all the same as the 2wd version of the matrix. if any one here have pics of the rear coilover system handy i would really appriciate it. as you can see i really want to drop my car with a coilover system due to the availability of rising and lowering the height according to the season.

well more about my car, it's a 4wd matrix, with TEIN s-tech springs, injen CAI, soon with a unichip.

I've always though 4WD=AWD?

it's confusing between the 4wd and AWD, but all i know is that mine is the 4wd and the rear wheels kick in when the ecu reconize the front wheels slip. really helpful when there is snow and rain. it's not like the rav4 AWD, i think.
