17x7.5 or 17x8?Does it make any diff?

I'm planning on getting a 17" Volk Racing GT-P.
I was just wondering if it would hurt my performance at all. (if i get the 17x8)

I'm thinking of getting 17x7 on the front and 17x8 on the back. I like the look of wide tires. Since the celi is a front wheel drive, it shouldn't hurt the performance right?

The 17x8 will be a little heavier. There wouldn't be a noticeable difference in performance between the 7.5 or 8. I would go with the same size on all 4 rims. They are only a half inch different. So they will both have the same look to them.

you really think 0.5" is going to look that much better? you don't want to be able to rotate your tires?

the half inch probably won't hurt much, but it sure won't be helping anything either.
