I was looking through www.clubrsx.com and I saw they have a cool members section where you can become a premium member and get your own personalized site. I like NC.org the way it is and I know Larry and WC Toyota have all bend over backwards to keep this site up and running. How much $$ would smething like this cost? This is only a suggestion, no bashing please, and by that I mean a smartass comment like "Well then you should have bought an RSX."

If Im not mistaken, being a premium member at www.clubrsx.com u get a user id and your own personalized web page. For example, [greddycelica.newcelica.org], or something like that where you can upload your own pictures. It sounds like it would be expensive but I dunno anything about web hosting so check it out.

Sounds like it would be a way for the site owner to cover a little of the hosting fees while allowing the members that don't know anything about hosting their own websites to have a place for pictures. Seems like a nice enough idea.....only problem for Larry would be HD space and making rules not allowing those members to run a full out website that would draw too much bandwidth.

bwa ha ha ha.. harddrive space.. i got like 10 gigs now on this dedicated box.. im more worreid about bandwith then anything else..

10 gigs of celica pics? i don't think that amount even exists - larry's right bandwidth is always a problem with high traffic sites (i don't know too much about the guts of nc.org) - but some companies are pissy about third level domains (whatever.newcelica.org) - then again with a dedicated server you should have control over the scripting that redirects that stuff. i say, lets see how stable you can get the site without adding any extra dongles and then see about something similar to what clubrsx offers. just a thought.

no i dont have 10 gigs of pics.. i have a 10 gig hardrive on the server open for me to do what i want with it.. what I dont have is alot of bandwith..i get 280gigs a month now and the more pics I add the higher the bandwith goes..

flash slows everything down and only works if people have it installed.. its nice for things like intros but too much is overkill
