Recall on Celicas??????

Tell me if this is old news or not but earlier tonight I had toyota install my TRD exhaust, and they informed me that there was a recall campaign on our Celica models. Its nothing major, it has something to do with the parking brake. I scheduled an appointment to get it fixed. Have you guys heard about this yet?

no nothing.. thats kinda strange considering a TSB didnt even come out... is it on every celica since 00

You had Toyota install your exhaust? Why'd you do that, was it because of warranty? Which Toyota dealer did you go to get that installed, and how much did they charge you? Must have been costly cuz it's not that hard to install it by yourself. Just curious. Thanks.

I had toyota install it because of the warranty issue plus I needed a new gasket so it wasn't that much. Besides, I practically don't have any tools or friends close by that could help me out with the install.

Back to the recall subject, the rep showed me on the bottom of my invoice that there is a recall campaign going on for my model which is a 2001 gt, so I would suggest calling your dealer and asking if they have heard anything about this.
