I work for a detailer down here in new Orleans. I have really hard water spots on my Celica. We hnave tried everything from an acid bath, neutralizer bath, your normal wash, wax, compound, polish, everything that we can think of, nothing seems to work. Does anybody know of anything else, besides a new paint job?

Unfortunately, the water spots are etched into your paint, and unfortunately if you tried all those steps, there is not anything else you can do. Sorry, I had the same problem with my old car, and the water spots were on the windows as well.

I had them all over my windopws too; however, My boss and I found a product that works on getting them out. I'll have to finbd out the exact name of it if u want. I think it is another kind of acid, it smells like @$$, and u use a fine brillow pad, i didn't scratch my windows and it took all the water spots off.

I'll tell ya what. I am waiting to find out the name of the stuff that took it off of the windows, but I can tell u what we did to the car itself. Now, the water spots r still there, in fact, there not coming off, BUT we did lighten them up tremendously, and u can't notice till u get right up on it. We used an acid bath, a neautralizer bath, and after all that, we compunded, polished, and waxed it numerous times. Everytime we polish, and wax it, the spots get lighter and lighter b/c the car gets darker and darker, and it brings the color throughg the spots. Sad part is they will never totally dissapear. I will be in touch in the next couple of days to let you know about the window stuff.
