Insurance Sucks!!!!

They are still refusing to replace the parts from the accident. They want to patch everything. This car is a curse :ugh:

a lot of people think that because they get insurance for that very reason, but you would be surprised what insurance companies are actually obligated to do.

It's not my insurance. Its the idiot who opened his door into me when I was driving by. His insurance claimed responsibility for the accident but they are still holding out.

If it cost less for the insurance company to have something patched up instead of replaced, its perfectly legal for them to do so. So if you get in an accident in the parking lot or something, and your front end gets all cracked up, its legal for them to say that they are going to pay the body shop to repair the panel instead of replacing it. Then you are stuck driving around with a bondo job on your front end.

My insurance company won't pay for my aftermarket paint if I get in an accident. If I get in an accident they will only pay for the cost of repainting what is damaged in Liquid Silver(the color that the car came in), and I will have to pay the difference for the $500 a quart Kameleon that my car is actually painted in. So much for their responsability for returning the car to its exact condition before the accident :(
