View Full Version : Any celicas on 20" wheels yet?

Here is the BFG 20" tire I was referring to that will fit a celica. I got these for my cougar and 20x9 Axis Se7en Mod Wheels.

I decided to go true widebody on my car with some 4" wide flares and removed all the inner fiberglass fender under the flare and cut our the sheet metal in the back under the flare and welded it up. If we can get our Blown donor car to SEMA I'd love to get 20's under it.

Wouldn't bee too bad with a tuner style wheel. I wouldn't want to see a set of 60 pound bling blings on a tuner car though lol.

I hope it never happens. Seriously.

My car is so slow with 18" i just can imagine with 20" It would be tragic hahaha

Unless the wheels were seriously tucked, the car would look like an SUV with the increased height. :ugh:

If you own a SLR camera its simple. Set the aperture to a smaller size, it shrinks the "range" of foreground and background that will be in focus.

18 is in my opinion the best mix for daily use, 19 is awesome and 20 is over the edge i think unless its for a show car.

Lark03
04-29-2004, 01:43 PM
unless its on a widebody, 19s are the max for me, love the way they look... 20s would just be too much rim for the car.

oneflyasianguy

20's with a wide lip on a widebody celica with a kit that keeps the bumper and sides low would look insane, impractical to drive but a showstopper for real.

That car is in the grass. A stock Buick looks like a lowrider in the grass. Albeit does look nice with those rims and that nice lip.

Digi slr what??? Yeah it wasnt cheap but not only is f stop adjustable, but so is film speed from pic to pic. No more half used rolls just to get a pic with multiple speeds.

Are those 20's now or what (i hope they are not 19's cause i'm getting 19's)?Looks way to big like unporportional big I really cant beleive how weird it looks maybe its cause the car is mostly stock body wise?or the rim style,i always thought the celica would look decent on huge 20's.(not practical but somewhat decent)

How bad of a rear camber do you get with 19's ? with say a hotchkis drop and camber links, is it correctable?

i'm pretty sure wheel size doesnt affect camber

20's = expensive tires, less tire to protect wheel from cracks, very limited tire options (try finding Azenis, S03, etc), miserable ride quality... etc etc

The pics show my 19's

The 20's will be using a 2" billet spacer/adapter to push the wheelsout to the edges of the flares.
