fitment varies. It seems to be luck of the draw. Some people get perfect vis hoods, others get ones that need alittle playing around with to fit right.

I hear that their newest grade AA hoods fit great with no gaps. If you got one that's crappy, you'll see a gap on the passenger fender and you will have problems closing it cuz the latch placement is slightly off.

Oh and if you bought it off e-bay good luck. Most companies that post on ebay are posting their overstock at a cheaper price. These are sometimes items that people would rather not purchase, like ones with slight defects.

hmm...they dont have a pic of the actual hood that they're selling. I dont know. I dont really like to spend over 100 from ebay. That's just me tho.

well the person selling the hood is actually from VIS, his inventory is stocked with all sorts of cf hoods ranging from domestics to imports!

"ViS new double sided grade AA Carbon Fiber hood "

Well that's a good sign, it might be the newest one, if so that's a pretty good deal for $480 shipped.

If you check his feedback you can see that a lot of people had to wait for their hoods suggesting that he doesn't actually have them in stock. I dunno man, it's a tough call.

VIS is just a risky choice for me.

what do you consider?

Hmmmm, it's hard to say, right now one of our sponsors has a hood for $361 shipped. OEM style too, made by Seibon. It supposedly fits great, but I'd like to hear more than just 2 opinions. Check the vendor forum on this site.

But for double sided CF the Vis one is a great, better deal if it fits. It's a chance, but what are you gonna do.

well the story is i was hit a few weeks back, and finally their insurance decided that they were finally going to pay, the shop told me it was 310 for a stock oem hood, and i asked him if he would consider a cf hood instead, he said sure, but i have to buy it and pay the difference! so yeah help me out man?

Yeah that's what I hear, that Honda owners are pleased with Seibon products. I'm just surprised more people haven't jumped at the deal in the vendor forum. I would, but I got other things to take care of first. :(
