Damn, this has to be the fourth thread I've seen about the Seibon hoods in the past 2 months, and still no daytime pics! :sadpace:

If you don't mind me asking. How much did this cost you. I have just recently been thinking about getting one. I do have another question, will the cf hoods chip like the factory one? My hood looks horrible right now.

Its 361 shipped with the discount code, look it up on the home screen in vendor's area.

It will get pitted just like your hood, if you drive it a lot. You can't stop debris from hitting your car. :(

I would clearcoat it before you install it. That will offer protection from sun fade and protect it a litle bit better from debris. :)

How it comes isn't there a protection coat already on it?

There's a UV coat on it, but that will fade over time. Some people's hoods turn brown over time, even with UV coating. It doesn't happen all the time, but I'd rather be safe then sorry. :)

The clear coat is a precaution and a peace of mind. I recommend it.

You can just take it to a paint shop and they can clear coat it?
it says it has a uv protected gel coat but i guess thats not as good?

Thanks for the info. yeah I would clearcoat it mainly because I don't want it getting all banged up. My factory hood right now is absolutley disgusting. It's all the highway driving that really gets to it.

Who said anything about wanting to save weight? :gap: It's an appearance mod mostly. :chuckles:

In the vendor forum there was a thread that the seller started stating it was a Seibon hood.

I just tried looking for it, and it's mysteriously disappeared...hmmmmm :wtf:

That me get this straight, i don't think prostreet is actually a sponsor, just a vendor that posted, so excuse me for that.

I was always under the impression that for any shop/vendor to sell products on NC.org they had to become a sponsor first.
