I heard that the McCulloch HIDs have a "train track" effect on the celica headlights, I heard that all you do is turn the bulb upside down, any other modifications that needs to be done? Thanks.

Does your McCulloch Kits do that?

Hmmmm................I havent heard of that. That is news to me. Why don't you go onto the Group Purchase part of this site and look up the current GB that have for these. Ask any of those that have recently gotten these kits if their's do that. By the way the lights in the pic you posted do not look like HID's to me. If so then they got ripped because my stock lights with stock bulbs in them were brighter than that.

That is b/c the return wire is on top and that is where most of the light is projected aka return wire shadow. That is why when looking for HID's for our cars, you get an HID kit with the return wire facing down. XenonDepot Kits utilize the Philips bulbs with the return wire facing down which is why I switched out my McCulloch kit to the XenonDepot kit.

Here's a site you might want to look at:

I don't think there is anything you can do unless you want to risk damaging the bulb shaving the plastic base so that when you rotate it 180, the return wire is downwards. It's something you'll have to live with dude.

:werd: i found this out after I already ordered my kit. But it doesnt affect you that much, it still looks awesome even with the "train tracks".

No....you don't want to dremel out the bottom of the headlight. What you want to dremel are the plastic adapters which your stock bulbs plugged into. The wires will fit through.

However, with the new Xenon Depot kit, the connectors are bigger than the McCulloch kit, so a small slit must be made at the side of the adapter for the wire to go through.
