I am looking at Rockford capacitor now and they are kinda pricey. Just wondering if brand like pyramid and legacy will work the same or is it necessary to get Rockford cap?

Ive never used a cheaper brands caps but a cap is a cap. There isnt a whole lot you can change to them.

The main difference is going to be the voltage rating and the quality of the connecting terminals. Make sure the cap is rated at 16 volts or higher ( higher being better). There have been tests done showing the higher quality caps do a better job, but for the average listener, the resulting difference is very small.

I use Lightning Audio caps. They are great caps. But as was stated before, a cap is a cap. Like RATIFIED said, 16V or higher. And make sure the connectors are of good quality. If you install it once, it's not a huge deal. But if you are like me, and take it apart every weekend, then the connectors need to hold up.
