1. Is it powered or not (meaning does it have an amp attached)?
2. r u using the stock HU or aftermarket?
The type is EL10A
it is amplified.

Heres a good installation, bring that joker back to the store and buy actual subwoofers in an enclosed box. Those tubes sound like crap.

On a serious note...all you need to do is run RCAs from your head unit to the tube and run a power wire and a ground...you proabably dont need the latter, dont those plug into the cigarette lighter?
thank you, i'll try that his week end

You know what ? I've had the same Bazooka powered bass tube since 1988; it's been installed in four different cars (88 Sunbird, 93 Grand Am GT, 2000 Alero V6, 2002 Celica).
I've heard lots of guys trashing them, but for reliability, sound, price, and easy installation, I've got NO complaints. They actually sound pretty good. I don't want to wake my neigbours, I just want a little more bass. They do the trick fine !!!!!!

:werd: I think that it depends on your situation and the specific application... I travel a lot, so I need to be able to fit a suitcase in the back... so I was thinking of getting a bass tube that I can mount on the side of the trunk... I just want more bass, so that I can turn the bass levels down in the stock HU...
Any suggestions on good bass tubes??
Thanks,
Usman
btw, I do know what a good set of subs sounds like, as I had 2 12s with an 800w amp in my old car... I just don't need that much bass and weight, and I need to keep my luggage space...

You guys should try the infinity basslink. Not too big and pretty dam loud. You can get one for around 200 bucks.
