i wanted to get some 3 way component speakers, probably the boston pro 6.53s. the problem is where to put the 4s. i've been quoted 600 dollars to do a custom kickplate for them and thats just a lot of damn money. how could this be done?

you could drill a hole in the door right below the tweeter for it but I doubt it would produce the best sounding results. In my opinion its not worth the work and money involved. I would just get a two way component set and save the $600 you were quoted. It would sound better than a half a$$ed 3 way install.
