hey curt, are those dls speakers? ur setup looks just like scott buwalda's set-up. nice! how do u like the speakers?

Yes, those are DLS speakers. Scott Buwalda and I are actually really good friends. And I love these speakers. I really like how i can mount them compared to my other speakers. The only down side is the tweeter has a large accoustic chamber on the back. I'll try to post some more recent install pics of my kicks and pillars.

thats cool, so how do u have the tweeters aimed? i am working on that soon... i am still debating whether to use the utopia's or the qsd's what do u think?

i will be running active with a us amps tu4360, i heard taht the qsds sound ALOT better active..

I personally like the QSD tweets. Either those or the JL XR tweeters. For aiming, you can either listen, or just aim and hope they work. :) I find that aiming the tweets at each other, then angling them a bit toward the glass gives me the best sound. But once they are in place, take a listen and make sure they sound how they are suppose to. I also put the tweets at eye level or just below. You don't want them too high.

u and scott have the same taste, hehe. i asked him the same question and he also recommended the qsds. but for some reason, the utopia's sound better with the passive crossovers, but alot of people tell me the qsds dont shine until u run them active.
