Looking through threads it seems that there aren't any advantages to a GT-S over a GT unless you shift at high RPM's

Well it has better brakes and nicer gearing but your right the power band is different and down low the gt probably has the advantage.

uh.
dont drive like my grandma, and always shift under 3k.
and dont buy a gt with all the fixings when you could get a GT-S for a couple thousand more.

So are you gonna race a GT without shifting past 4k rpm?

my granny takes it all the way down to 7k..:chuckles: JK. I would like to see that in person...that would be entertaining.

If you're planning on staying NA, the GT-S is better. It takes to bolt on mods much better than a GT. If you're going for FI, a GT is easier/safer to boost.

Basically I'm still a few monthes from buying a car but it will be for both me and the fiancee to drive. I want a manual even though I've never driven one but she wants an automatic, and I was reading through the threads that if you get an automatic you might as well get the GT. I didn't know even if you shift using the M mode if you could still get the same benefits of having the GT-S engine, therefore giving a reason to purchase a GT-S over a GT.

I probably won't do many mods to the car, with it being a shared vehicle.

Teach her and learn yourself. This car is no good as a auto.
