Well guys, I'm headed back to Northern Cali after 5 years here in OC...I don't know where I'll be in a few months from now as I am graduating and leaving the utopian world known as college life. I leave this coming weekend.

Since I won't have any I-net access it also means I'll be leaving the boards. Your posts have been informative and entertaining to read, and I hope to be back up in here, wherever I may be.

Peace ya'll

Check the site for more on what I will be up to.

Sups, your Bio advice...I'm not sure what year you are but here goes:

1. Since Galaxy corrupted the Core class means, enroll and pay the $130 or whatever so you can keep up with the other idiots BSing their way through the core.

2. Take Henschen/Tewari for 98.

3. Avoid Taggepara for O-Chem.

4. Don't take 114L unless you really know your sh!t from 98. 116L is equally hard, but less demanding.

5. If you take 113L, be prepared to dissect rabbit and sheep brains in the first two weeks, then take a practical the next.

6. 179 (Liminology) is fairly easy. Good satellite to take.

7. If you plan on going to med, pharmacy, or even grad school, get started on your 199 early. You should be doing research by your third year.

8. Physics: Be careful of the Russian Imports.

9. Math: Take 7 instead of 2C.

10. Science Library isn't exactly the best place to study...especially during finals.

11. Late night places to hit up: Alejandro's, Alerto's, In-N-Out...oh yeah there's two other Del Tacos - one on Irvine Bl and the other on Bristol/Irvine Ave (in case the one on Campus has a snaking line at 3AM)

12. If you live in CV, avoid Lot 16 if you can.

13. If you get an S2K antenna, engrave it. (I engraved it and painted the tip carbon blue)

14. Don't underestimate BC's Cavern on the Green...they do have good stuff there...also a good place to study when it's not busy.

15. 108, 109, 110: Be prepared for high means in those classes. BTW, Cho sucks (108). Sit up close if you can (he's fobby).

Key words: OFFICE HOURS. If you don't understand something, ask. It will bite you in the @$$ later if you don't. Much of the upper div course classes build from some of the lower-divs, especially 97, 98, and 99. Try to keep on top with reading or lectures. Some profs will deluge you with information that will end up being a waste of time later on (I just studied PDF notes that perhaps only 50% of the material was tested...each lecture was about 30-40 pages)

Peace

PS...are you the silver Celica with the YELLOW fogs?

well i'm a first year.

is galaxy really that good? i heard lit was good, but since larc deals more with the university, its a little better. whats Core, are you talking about humanities core? the other things i'll take in a lot of consideration, esp those classes and professors

well i have a silver celica, but i wouldnt really consider my fogs yellow... i just have hyperwhites for my low, hi,etc and my fogs are stock bulbs. i was going to get some ion yellows, but i thought they were TOO yellow(like the lexus is300) and i dont really like the look of hyperwhites for fogs.

Thanks for the reply

Core = 94, 96, 97, etc.

Personally I hate Galaxy but you guys are screwed. LARC is good but Galaxy has the old midterms...and I mean a BANK of old midterms. Of course, everyone there is buying their grade and you're left no choice but to sign up for Galaxy or get washed out on the curve.

damn... I remember when I cut up a pig head when I attended UCI Biology major luckily after graduating I went somewhere else for Biological Engineering. I guess they are disecting more and more now. Diesel949x is that road Campus and harvard in your sigs? kinda looks like it... either that or it is back on Irvine boulevard between Culver and Jumboree...
Too bad you are leaving hope you will come back when you have connection again.
