well ive been doing alot of searching and the bilstein,B&G or tein Basic Full coilover sets are of intrest to me. The teins are about 800 ,and bilsteins $850 ,and B&G $899 from www.shox.com ,From my search however i found out the bilsteins(HE5-8045 PSS system) used to retail for $1700,and B&G(andrews system?) used to sell for $2300 ,Also the B&G only fit on 00 to 02 model years? all of the above mentioned are somewhat in my price range not willing to go any higher than that and i'm sure that one of these sets should be exactlly what i need not using anything for autox or anything like that just want a really good all around handeling/performance suspension .

so what would be the best setup in everyones opinion, any one have any exsperience with any of them,I dont think i need some thing adjustable like tein ss or ha etc ,because i am sure i wont be messing with settings once alignment is all done , i just want some thing that will handle good , with the way the struts are from factory on each set, since none of the sets i am intrested in are adjustable struts.
any one know how the struts are set on any of these kits(tight ,soft ,etc)?

also does any one know if all these sets are specifically tuned for our cars with spring rates ,dampening etc for maximum performance ,so far Bilstein is the only manufacturer i seen that says Each PSS coilover system is enginered specifically for each application application with spring rates and everything

also anyone know if the bilstein struts used in their coilover system is the same as the ones hotchkis uses in their coilover system ? I read in my search that the hotchkis struts are made by bilstein

Thanks alot everyone for any insight you may have

What we need is the the Bilstein PSS 9 system. Too bad they don't make one for the celica. The bad thing about all three of those Coilover kits you posted they are not adjustible. Only Ride height.

I could be wrong here but why not Get some Koni SA with Groud Control w/Custom Spring Rate. In My head i think that would out perform a 800 dollars Coilover kit, but the custom spings make cost a little more. The guys on the autox forum knows more about this then i do so you can hit them up.

Anyway enjoy what ever you decide..

BTW if i had to choose from the 3 i would buy the Bilstein.

I dont really think ,I would use the strut adjustability im sure i would set it once and probablly never touch it again ,I just want the one that is best set already since its non adjustable,so paying more for that i really dont think is worth it to me ,so why would you pick bilstein out of the three ,just wondering?

I was looking a the Bilstein coilovers a little while back when I was still looking for a coilover set up. I really couldn't find any other Celica owners that used them but I found that alot of VW owners swear by them. I know that Bilstein makes great systems for other cars/trucks and they are pretty great quality. On the other hand a lot of people have Tein systems like myself (Tein SS) and I really like them. I heard the B&G's are a pretty harsh ride off the track but other than that I've heard no problems with them.
