It was our first points event this weekend. We were at a large site with smooth concrete.
First 2 runs were in the wet, last 3 it was dry, the weather was cold, maybe 60 degrees or so. It was a large course, some areas for horsepower, lots of good momemtum sections though.
No runs were under 60 seconds.
I managed 8th overall (PAX) with the new "tougher" DS pax. It little difference, I would have been 2 spots higher with the old softer index.
In class (2 cars), I lost to a WRX (new car for an experienced driver), it doesn't even have an alignment yet, he beat me by 1.5 seconds, 65.881 to my 67.267. We were both running on the "new" Kuhmos (his even newer than mine).
We had 2 DS cars in our Pro class, it was won by a WRX (63.595), this is the Ft. Myers Tour event winner. He has Koni's an alignment and a straight pipe exhaust, running on new Kuhmo's. Second place in our Pro class was another DS car, a Type R on Hoosiers (driven by a Tour event winner and Nationals Trophy holder).
It pretty much bites, with Hoosiers and better driving I could have possibly won the DS open class, but I would have had little or nothing for the Pro winners.
Oh well.
B1mmer did well, co-driving the Spyder with Eric Peterson, with the 10th fastest raw time and 6th place PAX.
