Ok...

I have a question. My 89 Camry has a some sort of plastic top on it. Meaning that is has metal cooling fins that have a plastic cap on them. The problem is this plastic has a very small crack about 1/2 from the top. Therefore, it slowly leaks coolant until its below the level and then mostly stops.

I have tried several kinds of glue including this "Like steel Puddy" and good old JB Weld. So far nothing will last long. I've heard back things about that stop leak stuff you put inside the radiator. So what is a flexible, heat resistant, strong, glue that can bond to this type of plasic??

I know your thinking go get a new radiator for about $100 bucks but I'm selling it and it just has to work for a few months at least.
I think I will try fibor glass mesh and epoxy next.

Thanks

I used bondo and jammed it in the crack. It worked every well for my 85 camry. Make sure you sand it down good before you do this :)

Bondo...hmmm. Thats an interesting idea. Will it bond well to plastic though. Was your 85 a plastic or metal housing? Regardless its worth a try, thanks a lot!
